I know what it is like to be a marketer in a startup with no processes, guidance or mentorship. I've felt that overwhelming feeling of ambitious targets that lack direction leaving you with a constant feeling of wanting to succeed but not quite knowing exactly how to.
I am NOT saying this is anyone's fault. It can take years for a company to find its feet. Let alone the direction it wants to walk. However, for anyone with the responsibility of marketing in a startup, it can be daunting. You could even look back at your time and wonder what you're actually doing or achieving.
That is why I created Startup Marketing on Mondays (SMoM) so that every Monday you can think of an idea, plan it, actually do something, and then show its value. I want to help you make an impact on your organisation and evolve as a marketer.
The method: Think. Plan. Execute. Evaluate. Learn. Repeat.
Each week, I will provide you with everything I wish I had as a marketer at the beginning of my startup journey. So don't miss out and sign up today. Or just follow me on LinkedIn.

We will start each week with ideation techniques. This will include guidance on how to work with different stakeholders to generate ideas for your startup and improve your understanding of the business and sources of inspiration.
Fail to plan. Plan to fail. With success in marketing being dependent on careful planning, we will create a plan on how to execute an idea. This will include guidance on the fine line between overplanning and being unprepared.
Ideas without action is just wishful thinking. I know you want everything to be perfect, but a perfect idea without execution is pointless. There is never a perfect time to do something. So we will work together to execute our plan this week. Not next week, or after 60,000 approvals. We just got to do it, otherwise, we won't grow.
We have to evaluate everything we do to understand the impact. If we don't, we can easily waste time and money with marketing. That is why we will evaluate what we did last week and discuss how to present the impact it made on the business. The storytelling begins.
Being an early member of a startup means you have a massive impact on culture. Having seen culture evolve in various ways, we will look at how we can make positive contributions to culture in a startup and ensure you're creating a better environment for everyone who joins.
We want to evolve. To do this we need to learn. We will discuss courses, resources and events that will help you evolve as a marketer. Understand how to keep on top of your learning and how to ensure you use the knowledge you gain. No point learning if you don't use it!
